Grant announced for Clinton Field Airport

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced Wednesday that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded two grants to city and county governments in southwest Ohio, totaling $8,094,056.

The funds will be go toward operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments, and combating the spread of pathogens at the airport.

Funding includes:

• $32,000 grant for Clinton County Board of Commissioners to provide economic relief funds for costs related to operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments, and combating the spread of pathogens at Clinton Field Airport.

• $32,000 grant for Warren County Airport Authority & Board of Commissioners to provide economic relief funds for costs related to operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments, and combating the spread of pathogens at Warren County/John Lane Field Airport.

“Ohio airports are vital to supporting travel and commerce in the state,” said Brown. “These investments will help to ensure the safety of Southwest Ohio airports for passengers for years to come.”
