WILMINGTON – The 12th annual Clinton County Leadership Institute’s Dinner in the Fields is all set to return and set for this Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Cosler Farm at 1488 US 68 South.

The event — the main fundraiser for the organization and one which draws people from neighboring counties as well — is planned, prepared and served by volunteers.

Last year’s event had to be canceled due to the pandemic.

Showcasing the finest of Clinton County’s homegrown and prepared foods, Dinner in the Fields provides a delicious, high-quality meal with family-friendly entertainment to celebrate the beginning of the harvest season. Guests will have the opportunity to taste locally grown and raised entrees and sip cider provided by TinCap.

The meal, cooked on the Cosler farm, will feature beef and pork accompanied by potatoes, green beans and squash side dishes with dinner rolls and much more.

Also featured are homemade ice cream topped with farm-fresh berries and delicacies available in the dessert auction concluding the meal.

Cocktail hour begins at 4 p.m. and dinner is at 5 p.m.

Advance tickets are available online now at https://leadershipclinton.org/ditf-2021-tickets . Additionally, tickets can be purchased at any People’s Bank location or by calling the CCLI office at 937-382-7120

Past Dinner in the Fields events have always drawn hundreds of attendees for farm-fresh food including desserts, the pie auction and more.
