Wilmington library to host concert

Zak Morgan will be performing at the Wilmington Public Library at 10 a.m. Friday, August 7. The concert is for everyone, young and young at heart, and presented as part of the library’s 2015 Summer Reading Program.

Morgan is from the Cincinnati area and tours all over the country. He has a B.A. in English and is very familiar with children’s literature. He worked in New York City at Recorded Books, Inc.

His first CD, “Bloom”, received rave reviews and prestigious awards. In 2003, he released his second CD, “When Bullfrogs Croak”, which was nominated for a Grammy. He recorded a DVD, “Zakland”, with Hollywood director and producer Jay Silverman.

In 2011, Morgan recorded an album called “Candy Machine.” The concept album is about temptation and the Golden Rule. His fourth album, “The Barber of the Beasts”, was released in 2012.
