WILMINGTON — Auditions for College-Community Summer Theatre’s production of Cabaret will be held May 22, 23 and 24 at 7:15 p.m. in Hugh G. Heiland Theatre on the campus of Wilmington College.

The production of the classic John Kander and Fred Ebb musical will run July 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Director Steven Haines and choreographer Cole Haugh will be auditioning actors, singers and dancers for the 20-to-25-member cast that will populate the show set in the disintegrating world of pre-WWII Berlin. Persons auditioning should be 18 years of age or older.

Each audition session will consist of cold readings, singing and dancing. Those auditioning are asked to prepare 32 bars of any Kander/Ebb song for presentation to the directors. An accompanist will be provided. Those auditioning are also advised to dress comfortably to accommodate the dance portion of the audition.

Those auditioning can attend as many of the sessions as they wish. Rehearsals for Cabaret will begin the first week in June. Further information is available by calling the Wilmington College Theatre Department, at 937-481-2267, or by calling Haines at 937-725-2845.
