WILMINGTON — Ahresty Wilmington Corporation presented the Clinton County Homeless Shelter with a $500 check to support the shelter during Thanksgiving week. Ahresty has been a supporter of the shelter for many years through donations of food and other supplies.

The CCHS provides emergency shelter, compassionate care and support to the homeless and underprivileged in Clinton County while remembering that each resident is a person of worth. Each night, the shelter can house up to 38 men, women and children.

In 2020, the shelter was home for 143 individuals including 14 children and five veterans. They called the shelter home for 3,832 nights and they were served 19,175 meals/snacks.

The shelter relies on supports from individuals, the community and businesses. Monetary donations, canned food and other essential supplies are always needed for the daily operation of the shelter.
