Clinton County COVID cases up in past month; 1 death reported in November

Clinton County had 520 reported cases of of COVID-19 in November — 115 more than in October and well above the numbers in May through July, and well below the spike in August and September.

Clinton County has had a reported total of 6,456 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began — about 15.3 percent of the county’s total population of 42,018 — with 247 total hospitalizations, 106 deaths, and 5,959 listed as “Presumed Recovered” as of the Wednesday afternoon update.

There has been one death reported in the past month. There were 36 reported deaths due to COVID in Clinton County in the three-month period of August through October.

The state reports that 45.73 percent of Clinton Countians (19,524) have started or competed vaccination; statewide, 57.93 percent of Ohioans have started or completed vaccinations.

The state reported that, as of Wednesday, 1,698,839 Ohioans have had COVID-19, with 86,860 total hospitalizations and 26,587 deaths.
