COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohioans filed 9,302 initial traditional unemployment claims last week, which was 1,783 more than the previous week. The state’s residents filed 40,797 continued traditional unemployment claims last week, which was 8,663 more than the previous week.
The total number of traditional claims filed Nov. 28-Dec. 4 was 50,099.
Ohio’s unemployment rate in October was 5.1%. The national unemployment rate in October was 4.6%.
Ohio’s labor force participation rate in October was 61.2%. The national labor force participation rate in October was 61.6%.
