WILMINGTON — Calling all Know-it-Alls! Who says there’s nothing to do on a Monday night in downtown Wilmington?

According to Murphy Theatre Executive Director Steve Burnette, Operations Manager JoJo Campbell, and Charlie’s celebrity mixologist to the stars Bob Baylor, they’re hoping 30 people say that.

That’s just how many folks will be permitted to show off their knowledge in the debut of Smarty Pants Trivia, taking place Monday night, January 3 at the Murphy Theatre’s new concessions and bar, Charlie’s Cast & Crew.

Subjects of all sorts will be covered in this light-hearted evening of quizzing, hosted by Steve, and aptly assisted by JoJo.

It’s $5 each to play. You can play solo, or create a team of up to four players. The winning person or team will enjoy a fabulous prize chosen especially for the Murphy’s limited prize budget, which is roughly $7.14.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m., questions start flying at 6:30 p.m., and the festivities wrap up by 8:30 p.m. Full cash bar, fresh popcorn, warm pretzels, candy, and maybe, just maybe, there might be some hot dogs on hand as well to enjoy. However, hot dog status has not been confirmed at press time.

You can reserve your Smarty Pants Trivia spot by calling the theatre at (937) 382-3643, and your spot will be held free of charge until 6 p.m. Monday. At 6:01 it will be first come first quizzed.

If you can’t make it to the January 3 Smarty Pants Trivia, not to fret, Smarty Pants Trivia will be held the first Monday evening of each month.
