Midland holds annual meeting

The Village of Midland council held its organizational meeting on Jan. 12. Larry Welch and Cindy Blackburn were sworn in by Mayor John Burris to fill terms ending Dec. 31, 2025. Councilman Larry Welch was elected President Pro Tempore for 2022. Other council members are Kimberly Cole and Allen Wisby.

Village council meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at the municipal building at 111 S. Broadway St. The public is always welcome to attend.

The Annual Financial Statement is complete and available for public inspection. A copy may be obtained by calling Fiscal Officer, Wanda E. Armstrong at 937-725-3973 or emailing [email protected].

Green Twp. report is ready

The annual financial report for 2021 for Green Township is completed and available at the office of the fiscal officer at 11884 SR 73 in New Vienna, for viewing by appointment.

Officers are President Steve Huff, Vice President Michael Ledford, Trustee Brandon Woodruff, and Fiscal Officer Robyn McMillan.

Township meetings are held on the first and third Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the township building office at 92 S. Second St., New Vienna.

SRWW report is complete

The 2021 Financial Report for SRWW Joint Fire District #2 has been completed and filed with the Auditor of State. This report can be reviewed by contacting Fiscal Officer Bonnie G. Starcher at 937 584-2662.

The next meeting of the board will be February 15 at 8 p.m. at the Sabina Firehouse, 179 S. Jackson St., Sabina, and is open to the public.
