ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Clinton-Massie High School and Middle School facilities have been cleared and are back to normal after a lockdown Thursday morning.

Superintendent Matt Baker told the News Journal a situation occurred leading them to put the schools on lockdown as a precaution. Baker advised nothing serious had occurred, though the district couldn’t divulge further information at this time.

“We’re assessing the situation right now,” he told the News Journal.

The superintendent added, “We are continuing to investigate and take proper precautions to make sure safety continues to be our number one priority.”

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office deferred questions to the school district.
