WILMINGTON — Denver Place Elementary Student Council donated four bicycles to the staff of Clinton Memorial Hospital on Monday.
With help from the student body, the Denver Student Council raised $1,074 with a sucker sale during the week of Valentine’s Day. The student council members voted to buy these bicycles for the first responders who have dedicated their lives to helping others during the pandemic.
The staff at CMH will be able to use the bikes on the bike path during their breaks, with hopes of keeping them healthy in mind, body, and soul.
“Thank you, Denver Elementary Student Council members for your generosity and thoughtfulness,” said CMH Marketing & Communications Director Stephanie Butler. “This gift will be used for years to come and enjoyed by many.”
