Clinton-Massie cheerleaders earned first-place honors at UCA camp at Bowling Green State University last weekend.

The varsity cheerleaders took first place in Game Day and Camp Dance out of six teams.

Junior varsity took first place in Camp Dance.

The team is coached by Sheri Stulz and Jessica Hanlon.

“There were a lot of good teams. Our girls worked extremely hard all weekend and came out on top!” said Stulz. “We also managed to have a lot fun too. It was a great experience for our athletes!

“We had multiple girls try out for All American and four made it,” she added. “Kyla Hessler, Jenna Hanlon, Emma Collins and Kealey James now get to decide if they want to perform in the Aloha Bowl or travel to London, England and perform at Disney’s New Year’s Eve parade. Being chosen as an All American is such a great honor.”

Stulz said they also had four athletes receive the “Pin It Forward” award, which is about leadership and kindness. Rhea Prell, Jenna Hanlon, Emma Collins and Cassie Harris each were chosen for this award.

“Our cheerleaders are off to a great start this year, and I am so excited for this season!” said Stulz.
