Pork Pride 4-H Club ‘on the fence’ for service project

The Pork Pride 4-H Club met at the Dailey Farm on Sunday, June 5 with 33 in attendance. President Mikala Hatfield called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.

The group painted fences at the Dailey Farm. We had lots of fun talking, singing to the radio, taking turns painting, and handing out drinks to the ones painting.

After all our hard work we enjoyed pizza and games.

The meeting adjourned at 8:56 p.m. Pork Pride 4-H Club would like to thank the Dailey family for having us out.

June 12 meeting

The Pork Pride 4-H Club met at Cuba Friends Church on Sunday, June 12 with 23 in attendance. President Mikala Hatfield called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m.

Isaac Chesney led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Elaina Chesney led the 4-H Pledge. Kai Alexander gave the Secretary’s Report and Isaac Chesney gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Terry Hatfield talked about 4-H updates. Fundraisers, community service, shirt orders are due, and Fill The Trailer were discussed. The group then discussed the Junior Fair Club Flower Pot Contest and Junior Fair Building display.

Mikala Hatfield went around the room and had everyone tell what they like about 4-H and what could be changed about our meetings.

Donovan Dalton did a demonstration on his cat named Hunter, and Ben Alexander did a demonstration on his Lego sword he made.

The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 26 at Cuba Friends Church. Kai Alexander will do the Pledge of Allegiance, Stanley Chesney the 4-H Pledge, and Ava Fife, Harper Furnish, Jacob Furnish and Donovan Dalton will do demonstrations.

The Alexander/Furnish family will have snacks.

The meeting adjourned at 7:18 p.m. The group then enjoyed the snacks provided by the Mabry family.
