WILMINGTON — The Clinton County Alliance for Compassion and Truth (A.C.T.) will host two Conversations that Count sessions, focusing on the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and eliminated federal protection of abortion rights.

Open to the public, the structured conversations will be on July 9 and August 13, from 10:15-11:30 a.m., in the Kirk Room of the Wilmington Public Library.

The first session will review the constitutional arguments underpinning the draft and final opinion. Session two will look at the evolving post-Roe landscape and paths still open to support the health and lives of women and girls.

The text of the opinion in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization is available at https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/19-1392_6j37.pdf .

A.C.T. is a women-led, pro-democracy coalition that encourages political engagement on critical local, national, and global issues that affect the lives of people in their own community and beyond.
