Clinton County commissioners honor Bill Anders

The Board of Clinton County Commissioners on Wednesday formally recognized Clinton County resident Bill Anders with a proclamation in connection with Anders being named an upcoming 2022 inductee into The Ohio State University Athletics Hall of Fame. Anders graduated from Sabina High School in 1963, and because the school was small it did not have a football team. Nonetheless, he made the Buckeyes team under Coach Woody Hayes, setting an OSU record for receptions in a game when he caught 12 against Washington. He was named team captain his senior year. The induction ceremony will be on Sept. 9 in Columbus. From left are Commissioners Mike McCarty and Brenda Woods, Bill Anders, and Commissioner Kerry Steed.
