Clinton County restaurant inspections

WILMINGTON — The following information is obtained from the Clinton County Health Department and is compiled from inspection reports.

Violations are either critical or non-critical. Critical violations are more likely to contribute to food contamination, illness or an environmental health hazard, including inadequate cooking of food items or poor personal hygiene.

The following restaurants or food service establishments were inspected recently:

• Pizza Hut, 486 Main Street, Wilmington, June 15. No written procedure for cleaning up after a vomiting or diarrhea event; a new procedure as of this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees received training to report illness; a new procedure as of this year. Hershey’s chocolate syrup stored on counter at room temperature. Pizza cutter had food debris on it. Cooler was at 53 degrees Fahrenheit and was apparently leaking.

• United Dairy Farmers, 211 West Main Street, Blanchester, June 15. No written procedure for cleaning up after a vomiting or diarrhea event; a new procedure as of this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees received training to report illness; a new procedure as of this year. Cabinet had broken laminate. Cove molding in front of donut display was pulling away from wall. Cabinet door hanging by one hinge.

• Kava Haus, 187 East Locust Street, Wilmington, June 14. No sign-off sheet showing employees received training to report illness; a new procedure as of this year. Observed evidence of roof or water leak above three-compartment sink.

• Southern State Community College Patri-tots Learning Center, 1850 Davids Drive, Wilmington, June 14. No sign-off sheet showing employees received training to report illness; a new procedure as of this year.

• Blanchester Veterans Memorial Park, 933 State Route 123 South Blanchester, June 14. No written procedure for cleaning up after a vomiting or diarrhea event; a new procedure as of this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees received training to report illness; a new procedure as of this year.

• Kreative Kids Childcare Center, 912 East Cherry Street, Blanchester, June 15. No written procedure for cleaning up after a vomiting or diarrhea event; a new procedure as of this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees received training to report illness; a new procedure as of this year.

• Donatos Pizza, 860 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, June 15. No violations noted.
