Jermaine Isaac, fellow Rotarian and Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Wilmington, introduced Wilmington High School football head coach Ryan Evans to the Wilmington Rotary Club which meets at noon on Tuesday at the Clinton Memorial Hospital Meeting Room.

Evans was named head coach in January. He has coached previously at Monroe, Middletown, Princeton and Winton Woods High Schools.

Evans was pleased to say that the students and parents have bought into his football program of “HEART” and the work required: H – Humility; E – Effort (student-athletes have raised their average GPA to a 3.0+; A – Accountability; R – Respect; and, T – Toughness.

He is pleased that he sees all these traits in his athletes and is proud of the way they handle themselves on the field and in public. Coach Evans is excited to start playing football with the team’s first regular season game Friday night.
