Blanchester Schools kicked off the 2022-2023 school year with an opening day convocation. Superintendent Randy Dunlap introduced new teachers and announced new technology and events for the upcoming school year.

Everybody seemed excited to start another school year!

Andrea (Kratzer) Tacoronte and Ellen (Binkley) Hill announced the Wildcat Teacher Grant recipients for 2022-2023: Jenny Hartman, Krissy Laubernds, Michael England, Leslie Abrams, Julie Fortner, and Kristina White. This year the teacher grants totaled $1,860.

Five Wildcat grants were funded: sensory integration materials; Blink Festival float project; flexible seating; life cycle of a butterfly; and the special education coffee cart.

The Wildcat Teacher Grants are funded through the Payroll Deduction gifts from the Blanchester teachers and staff to the Foundation.

The Blan Schools Foundation wishes all school employees an exciting, thought-provoking, and safe year of learning.

The Blanchester Schools Foundation has been very active this year in funding a variety of programs, grants, equipment purchases, pay-to-participate scholarships, fine arts programs, and scholarships for graduating seniors. In all, the Foundation awarded over $50,000 in 2022.

The Foundation is funded through donations and fundraisers and is a non-profit, 501(c)3, organization. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made in honor of a loved one, special teacher, classmate, or given as a gift to the general fund.

The Foundation has extremely low overhead. We have no paid staff — it is a working volunteer board. We charge no fees to any funds that want to operate through the foundation. Our only expenses are things that ensure that we manage the money lawfully and ethically – money managing software and an accountant.

The Foundation also receives donations, at no extra cost to the customer, from Amazon Smile and Kroger Plus points when customers designate the Blanchester Schools Foundation as the recipient of their community rewards programs.
