Volunteers help clean-up the city

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Clean-Up Crew met at Point Park on August 27 for their monthly volunteer event.

Our eight-person crew covered over two miles of streets from Point Park, Fife Avenue, Rombach Avenue, and East Locust Street, removing litter and collected seven bags of trash.

The next clean-up event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, September 17 with the location to be determined.

In 2022, the clean-up crews have completed over a dozen volunteer events and removed more than 120 bags of litter from the downtown and surrounding areas. Thanks to the over 200 volunteers who have donated their time and efforts this year to keeping Wilmington looking its best!
