Seated behind her 100th birthday cake on Tuesday, Nov. 8 is Regina Swisshelm. The party was organized by First Christian Church (FCC) in Wilmington, where Swisshelm has been a member her entire life. Her father, James Swisshelm, who is known for being a member of the local musical group the Bathhouse Five, lived to be 104. At her party in the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Residence, Regina told attendees her mother used to play piano for silent movies at the Murphy Theatre.
