BLANCHESTER — Blanchester police report that Monday afternoon a local resident reported that her 15-year-old son had run away from their Orchard View Lane residence.

According to Police Chief Scott Reinbolt, the boy, Mark Cope, previously ran away in February and was found in the state of New York and returned to Ohio. He is currently on probation with the Clinton County Juvenile Court.

Reinbolt said officers have spent the week following up on leads on Cope’s whereabouts. There is unconfirmed information indicating he may be in the Chicago, but other leads indicate he may still be in the immediate area of Blanchester, Reinbolt said.

Anyone who has any information on Cope’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Blanchester Police Department.
