• Ever wanted to write your own novel? Come to the Wilmington Public Library for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and work toward the goal of writing a novel in a month on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. They will provide the quiet space, you bring your creativity! Bring your lunch and take a break at noon, talk with other NaNoWriMo participants to get over those pesky writer’s blocks.

Monday, Nov. 21

• Join the Monday Morning Men’s Club (3M Club) Monday, Nov. 21 to enjoy a light breakfast and learn “how to prevent back pain”, a program especially designed for seniors by Cape May’s Therapy Department specialists Jessica Wallen and and Mary-Cade Johnson. The 3M Club will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the Campus Center at Ohio Living Cape May. All senior men are invited.

Thursday, Nov. 24

• This will be the 22nd year for the Clinton County Community Thanksgiving dinner held at Wendy’s Restaurant on Rombach Avenue on Thanksgiving Day. Last year, close to 2,000 dinners were prepared and delivered to Clinton County residents. This would not be possible without the help of many volunteers and monetary donations. Volunteers can help by donating money, volunteering at Wendy’s, and delivering the meals to residents. • Hometown HoliDazzle Illuminated Parade & Festival is 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. Downtown Wilmington will close its streets for everyone to see the annual illuminated parade, which starts at 7 p.m. Other activities begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Shop Small Saturday will be filled with coupons and great deals from your favorite local businesses. Stop by select businesses to get recipes for Santa’s cookies this year. • Homespun Christmas in downtown Wilmington is Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Homespun Christmas is a great opportunity to visit private homes, area businesses and select venues in Wilmington for handcrafted items and gifts. • Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at New Vienna Community Center, 12 Main St. Calling all children … Come see Santa and receive a goody bag. Free hot chocolate and cookies. Soup and sandwiches will be available to purchase while families wait to visit with Santa. There will be music and entertainment during the event. • Health Alliance of Clinton County invites all to the Holiday Ball, Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Roberts Centre, Ballroom A.
