Workshop/call on skate park design

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Park Board announced there is a conference call/skatepark design workshop scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1 at 3:15 p.m.

“To clarify, this is not a park board meeting, although it is open to the public,” said Wilmington Parks and Recreation Director Lori Kersey Williams.

She said this will be “a conference call with Grindline, the company that developed the conceptual for the proposed concrete skatepark. The focus of that meeting will be to review the proposed design and based on the current budget consider design options, with input from Grindline and meeting attendees; and to get us ready for the next step, which is the development of construction drawings.”

This meeting will be held in the Service Director’s Conference Room in the second floor of the Municipal Building.

The next regular Wilmington Park Board meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 in the Community Room of the Municipal Building.
