A touch of ‘Homespun Christmas’ around Wilmington

Bonnie Sayre’s The Magnolia Cottage on Wilmington’s South South Street was a new Homespun Christmas location this year. Gift items could be found in every room in the house. The 34th annual Homespun Christmas that features open houses, participating shops and creative crafters around Wilmington was this weekend. At Denver Place Elementary School, Karen Reed of Wilmington kept right on crocheting at her sales booth during the show. The profits from Karen’s Krochet for Peace enterprise of making hats, fingerless gloves, scarves, yoga socks and boot cuffs go for peace charities.
