Wilmington police reports

WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from reports provided by the Wilmington Police Department. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court. Incidents are presumed to be under investigation. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Wilmington police recently received the following reports:

• At 7:11 a.m. on Nov. 28 police responded to a theft complaint that took place at the 300 block of Prairie Avenue. According to the report, a 44-year-old female resident reported $45 stolen. Police list a 34-year-old male as a suspect.

• A 34-year-old female made a report to police at 8:05 a.m. on Nov. 29 of a 45-year-old male menacing her. According to the report, the suspect walked by her office and yelled, “Your dad’s dead and you’re next.” The report indicated that this was not her first run-in with the suspect. The record indicated that the victim was the suspect’s caseworker at her previous job and he accused her of taking money from her and causing multiple problems for her. The victim stated she was afraid because the suspect carried a cane and has threatened others with it. According to the victim, there were other witnesses to the incident. Police asked if she could ask them if they’d be willing to give a statement. Police suggested that she gather all her reports about the suspect and attempt to get a protection order issued as it seems to the officer he shows no sign of stopping.

• Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Xenia Avenue on a theft report at 4:52 p.m. on Nov. 28. According to the report, items were stolen from a 23-year-old male and a 26-year-old male resident. The items listed as stolen included a ladder, a grill, and a black toolbox.

• At 4:13 p.m. on Nov. 28 police responded to a store on a theft report. According to the report, personnel discovered a theft of shears, valued at $51, had occurred on Nov. 10. The police have a 34-year-old male listed as a suspect.

• At 4:57 p.m. on Nov. 28 police received a call from a 50-year-old female about theft from her 71-year-old male relative. According to the report, the caller witnessed a 31-year-old female relative enter a white pickup truck driven by an unknown male at the 100 block of East Short Street. The caller reported she saw several of the victim’s ladders in the truck. Police made contact with the victim at his job and he stated that he gave no permission to the suspect to use the ladders. Four orange ladders were listed as stolen which were valued at $1,500. While speaking to the victim, the suspect called the victim stating she received permission from the victim’s spouse to use the ladders. The victim stated he didn’t care and wanted them back.

• At 2:18 a.m. on Nov. 29 police received a report from a 56-year-old female about suspicious activity. According to the report, the caller said that a 32-year-old male who was renting property from her was having a “meth party” in the garage. Police inspected the area and didn’t see anything suspicious.

• Police were called to a restaurant at 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 29 in response to what the caller thought was a fight. According to the report, police made contact with a 42-year-old male who was arguing with another male. The other male yelled at the first one to stay away from a female. The responding officer told them to back away from each other. The officer informed the 42-year-old male he had filed assault charges on him for biting the female’s ear the previous day. The male said he did not bite it, he “nibbled” it. The officer told him to stay away from the female. The subject left the area.

• At 12:09 p.m. on Nov. 30 police received a theft complaint. According to the report, a 47-year-old male reported that someone stole the rear plates of his truck. Officials advised him he would get them entered into the system and to make sure he does not drive using the front plates he still has. It was advised he remove the plates, and park the vehicle in the driveway until he gets new plates. The victim advised he doesn’t know who might have stolen it, but wondered if a certain relative was responsible.

• At 9:41 a.m. on Dec. 2 police began investigation an alleged theft. According to the report, authorities received a call from a 48-year-old female about a possible theft of $1,427.

• Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on 300 block of East Main Street at 10:50 p.m. on Dec. 2. According to the report, the two vehicles were going eastbound on East Main Street in separate lanes and the female driver of the vehicle in right lane attempted to change into the left lane and hit the passenger side of the vehicle driven by a 26-year-old female. The first driver was issued a citation for marked lanes. The only injury reported was a 24-year-old male passenger in the 26-year-old’s car said his right side hurt. Police offered to call a squad but the driver transported him.

• At 1:38 a.m. on Dec. 3 police responded to a motel on a disturbance complaint. According to the report, officers arrived at the room in question and upon entering they noticed heavy smoke, multiple subjects including minors, and several empty beer cans around the room. The manager informed officials that he wanted the subjects out of the room. One juvenile was transported to his residence, another was picked up by guardians.

• Police responded to the 400 block of South Mulberry Street at 8:06 a.m. on Dec. 4 on a vandalism and theft complaint. According to the report, police made contact with a 44-year-old male who stated his van was damaged. He noticed the gauge was empty and drove to the gas station to fuel it when he noticed the gas was coming out onto the ground. He said he found someone had removed his fuel line and drained most of the fuel.

• At 4:47 a.m. on Dec. 4 an officer was stationed on John Street and Rombach Avenue and heard yelling behind a fraternity house. According to the report, a 38-year-old male was waving a wooden 2×4 over his head and yelled at the officer to come to him. The report indicates there was a group around the subject. After the officer told everyone to stop yelling and the subject to put down the 2×4, police found out that the subject was mad about fraternity visitors parking in his yard. All cars were eventually removed and police cleared the area.

Wilmington police also recently arrested or charged the following people:

• Robert Snell, 27, of Wilmington was arrested for alleged aggravated menacing, domestic violence, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and carrying a concealed handgun.

• Brittany Dunaway, 26, of Wilmington was arrested for alleged perjury and falsification.

• Aubrey Morris, 22, of Wilmington was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct.

• Adam Garrett, 37, of Wilmington was arrested for allegedly possessing drug abuse instruments.

• Jordan Bart, 24, of Wilmington was arrested for alleged probation violation and trespassing.

• Daniel Camp, 27, of Wilmington was arrested for alleged theft.

• Rhonda Arnold, 48, of Sabina was arrested for alleged theft and possessing criminal tools.

• Edward Gee II, 23, of Wilmington was arrested for alleged criminal mischief and theft.

• Amber Nickell, 27, of Wilmington was arrested on two counts of allegedly possessing drug abuse instruments.

• Tyler Spurlock, 24, of Wilmington was arrested for allegedly obstructing official business.

• Bridget Topping, 34, of Wilmington was arrested for allegedly resisting arrest.
