VERNON TOWNSHIP — A Blanchester woman was cited with failing to yield at a stop sign after a two-vehicle collision Saturday at the intersection of George Road and U.S. 22 west of Wilmington, with four people reported injured.
None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening, Lt. Stan Jordan of the Wilmington post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Monday.
Shannon Boone, 38, of Blanchester, was driving a 2014 Dodge Durango, and received the traffic citation after she reportedly failed to yield from a stop sign while heading north on George Road.
All four of the occupants in the second vehicle were transported for medical treatment, two by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Megan Nichols, 28, of Wilmington, was operating a 1996 Ford F150 pickup truck, and was traveling east on U.S. 22 when her vehicle struck Boone’s.
Megan Nichols and Dusty Nichols, 33, of Wilmington, were each CareFlighted to MVH. Two passengers, a girl, 9, and a girl, 7, were transported by life squad to Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
The collision was reported at 12:38 p.m. Saturday.
