Kiwanis gears up for Soccer Classic

The Clinton County Board of Elections’ Joy Ames was guest speaker at the Wilmington Kiwanis Club meeting on Aug. 18. She spoke about issues on the November ballot as well as about helping as a poll worker.

Kiwanis meets the first and third Thursdays of each month at 11:45 a.m. at Wilmington Presbyterian Church.

The 31st Wilmington Kiwanis Classic will be held Sept. 12-13 at Wilmington College. Several men’s college teams will participate at Williams Stadium on campus starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 and starting again at 1 p.m. Sunday. Wilmington College will play at 7:30 p.m. Saturday against Marysville and again at 3:30 p.m. Sunday vs. Wittenberg.

The Wilmington Kiwanis Club invites the public to come out and cheer before or after attending the Corn Festival and support the Quakers as well as Kiwanis-sponsored community events and projects.
