Supplying coats to kids


Wilmington firefighter and vice president of the local chapter of the I.A.F.F. Jack Coates and firefighter Tim Doyle delivered coats, hats and gloves to kids in need Tuesday at all three Wilmington elementary schools. The items were bought with money raised by raffles throughout the year; they also received discounts from Walmart and Peebles. Coates said that the fire department hopes to make this an annual event.
