BLANCHESTER —An 84-year-old man has been charged with two counts of sexual imposition for allegedly inappropriately touching two teenage girls.

The suspect is Charles Gray of the 2200 block of State Route 133 North in rural Blanchester, police said.

According to Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt, in mid-January a 14-year-old girl reported to police that she had been recently touched inappropriately by someone known to her. An investigation was opened and assigned to Cpl. James Beckelhymer.

“Facts gathered in the investigation led Cpl. Beckelhymer to a 17-year-old girl who stated she too was touched inappropriately by the same man, who she also knew, in the summer of 2014,” Reinbolt said.

He said Gray will answer the charges, which are both misdemeanors, in Clinton County Municipal Court.
