Rocking for New Life

WILMINGTON — The New Life Clinic held its 4th annual Rock-A-Thon fundraiser last Saturday, collecting over $3,300 for the non-profit pregnancy center.

The event was organized completely by kids, with Abigail Proffitt, a homeschooled freshman in the Wilmington area, leading a group of five Leadership Clinton students and 22 rockers, ages 5-18. The money raised will go directly to purchase Real Care dolls for the Clinic to use in teaching clients how to care for an infant.

The New Life Clinic serves men and women in pregnancy-related circumstances. Client hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All services are free, caring and confidential, and include: Pregnancy tests and verifications, early ultrasounds, options counseling, abortion alternatives and information, a Baby Bucks lending program, maternity clothes lending, parenting classes and workshops, and referrals to community resources.

NLC is located at 100 S. South St. in Wilmington, directly across from the Clinton County courthouse. Contact them at 937-382-2424 or at www.newlifesupport.org.
