BLANCHESTER —Police are seeking a Blanchester man suspected of committing domestic violence and endangering a child.

According to Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt, at around 1 a.m. Friday police were called to 409 Bourbon Street on a report of a domestic dispute.

Officers arrived and spoke with Mishell Hutchens, 32, of that address, who reported being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend. An ambulance was summoned and transported Hutchens to Clinton Memorial Hospital.

Hutchens’ boyfriend was identified as Andre Sharp, 28.

“He fled prior to officers’ arrival,” stated Reinbolt. “While checking the property for Sharp, officers observed fresh damage to Hutchens’ car in the driveway, including a broken windshield. It is suspected Sharp is responsible for the damage.”

Sharp and Hutchens are the parents of a toddler, who Reinbolt said was present during the altercation. According to Hutchens, she was holding the child at one point during the assault, Reinbolt said.

Hutchens’ mother came to the scene to care for the child.

Charges of domestic violence and endangering children have been filed against Sharp in the Clinton County Municipal Court, Reinbolt said.

Warrants have been requested for Sharp’s arrest. Reinbolt asks anyone who knows of Sharp’s whereabouts to contact the police department via the Clinton County Sheriff’s dispatch center at 937-382-1611.
