Children turning 5 on or before Aug. 1 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year at East Clinton Local Schools.

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend one of the registration sessions to register their children. All enrollment information must be completed prior to the child starting school. Please call New Vienna Elementary or Sabina Elementary to schedule an appointment for registration on registration dates at the appropriate building of attendance.

Required documents are: an official birth certificate, shot records, Social Security card, proof of residency (current utility bill, rental or lease agreement), parent’s driver’s license (please note; driver’s license can not be used as proof of residency) and any applicable custody papers to complete the registration process.

All incoming kindergarten students in East Clinton Local Schools are required to complete a Gesell screening assessment prior to attending the first day of school. At registration, appointments will be scheduled for this assessment on a first-come first-serve basis.

Registration packets can be picked up at both New Vienna Elementary and Sabina Elementary buildings prior to the registration dates. Please call the school offices if you have questions — New Vienna Elementary at 987-2448 and Sabina Elementary at 584-5421.

New Vienna Elementary

• April 26: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., kindergarten registration

• May 10: 11 a.m.-7 p.m., kindergarten registration

• May 23, 24, 25: 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Gesell assessment screenings

Sabina Elementary

• April 25: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., kindergarten registration

• May 2: 11 a.m.-7 p.m., kindergarten registration

• May 23, 24, 25: 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Gesell assessment screenings
