WILMINGTON — In the Eye of the Hurricane are seven new members of the East End Elementary School K100 Club, having weathered the storm by mastering more than 100 sight words and counting beyond 100.

According to reading teacher Amanda Wagner, this is a great accomplishment for young scholars, and she also credits parents for working behind the scenes practicing key ring words and reading with their children every night.
