A 1998 Ford Taurus that crashed into the side of the Carnegie Public Library in Washington Court House Wednesday morning had to be towed from the scene. At 11:14 a.m., the driver of the Taurus was attempting to park beside another vehicle in the Carnegie parking lot, but was reportedly distracted by a child inside of her vehicle. The driver told police that she accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal, causing her to strike the nearby vehicle and then the retaining wall around the side of the building. The Taurus was stuck on the wall with the vehicle front end resting on the sidewalk. Damage was done to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
