More sentences handed down in muni court

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following continues the list of those who pled guilty or were found guilty between May 22 and May 26:

• Phyllis Carter-Bell, 55, of Liberty Township, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Kenton Hall, 19, of Grove City, going 91 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $30, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Edward Creech, 23, of Clarksville, driving under suspension-financial, seat belt violation, fined $155, assessed $125 court costs. Creech will only pay fines on the seat belt violation.

• Wayne Monce, 27, of New Vienna, driving under suspension-failure to reinstate license, registration violation, fined $155, assessed $125 court costs. Monce will pay fines only for registration violation charge.

• Morgan Mays, 30, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, sentenced to one day in jail (suspended), fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a falsification charge. Mays must write a letter of apology to the victim.

• Leon Curtis, 36, of Wilmington, assault, sentenced to 180 days in jail (150 suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Curtis will pay costs only.

• George McKinney, 58, of Wilmington, O.V.I., sentenced to three days in jail, operator’s license suspended from May 8, 2017 to Nov. 8, 2017, fined $575, assessed $125 court costs. No ALS imposed. A marijuana possession charge was dismissed.

• Alexandria Morgan, 22, of Wilmington, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Cara Reno, 34, of Thornville, driving under suspension-financial, registration violation fined $155, assessed $125 court costs. Reno will only pay fines for the registration violation.

• Lacy Nace, 23, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, fined $30, assessed $125 court costs.

• Patricia Daley, 21, of Clarksville, illegal distribution of/permitting children to use tobacco/nicotine product, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. The fine was suspended if Daley commits no more offenses this year.

• Stephanie Swearingen, 48, of Martinsville, illegal distribution of/permitting children to use tobacco/nicotine product, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. The fine was suspended if Swearingen commits no more offenses this year.

• Charity Woodruff, 26, of Blanchester, illegal distribution of/permitting children to use tobacco/nicotine product, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. The fine was suspended if Woodruff commits no more offenses this year.

• Melissa Hocket, 20, of Wilmington, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. An additional charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

• Paulina Haver, 25, of Lima, driving under suspension-12-point suspension, sentenced to three days in jail, fined $250, assessed $125 court costs.

• Timothy Laib, 20, of Cincinnati, going 92 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• James Cooper, 37, of Williamsburg, going 90 in a 55 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• William Coleman, 33, of Fairborn, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs. A driving under suspension-failure to reinstate license charge was dismissed.

• Steven Bennett, 36, of Martinsville, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs.

• Sam Jones, 42, of Cincinnati, driving under suspension-failure to appear/pay fines, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs.

• Ricky Knisley, 51, Sabina, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Jackie Robinson, Jr., 36, of Wilmington, animal cruelty, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The fine stayed on condition that Robinson have no more violations in 2017.

• Jimmy Fall, 41, of Wilmington, drug possession, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.
