WILMINGTON — The suspect in the breaking and entering of Long’s Pharmacy at 159 W. Main St. in Wilmington early Wednesday morning was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Wilmington police arrested Andrew Golden, 22, of Wilmington after receiving “a number of calls yesterday after the (surveillance) photos were on social media,” said WPD Sgt. Bob Martin.
Golden was located and arrested while walking down a Wilmington street, Martin said.
Golden is charged with breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. He is currently in the Clinton County Jail.
According to police, who were called to the pharmacy at 4:01 a.m. Wednesday, the suspect broke the door of the pharmacy after parking his vehicle in the side parking lot, then entered the building and stole the cash register drawer and an unknown amount of change.
