Many hands make lighter work

Approximately 30 people volunteered Saturday to set up stalls inside the new horse barn at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. They started at 6 a.m. Saturday, cutting lumber and doing the necessary assembly work, said Clinton County Fairboard President Scot Gerber. Clinton County Commissioners President Kerry Steed, who was among the volunteers, said Monday it was an amazing event, with the barn transformed from an empty 40 x 300 foot building into one that had all the horse stalls built. The Clinton County Fair starts this Saturday, July 8. The News Journal this week will feature a preview on this year’s fair activities .
