WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office will host National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

From 6 to 8 p.m. local residents are invited to come to J. W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 34rd Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.

There will be face painting, games and food.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office will be present to showcase their office, including D.A.R.E, their Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit, and deputies.

The Wilmington Fire Department will be out as well.

All agencies present will have equipment on hand so residents can see and use them.
