Lees Creek UCC sets Ice Cream Social

0

The Ladies of Lees Creek United Church of Christ are readying the church kitchen for the annual Ice Cream Social.

In an age where a click of a mouse or a tap on a keyboard can get you most anything you want, we still believe that some things are better the old-fashioned way. Come find out for yourself on Wednesday, Aug. 2 when Lees Creek serves up its hand-cranked ice cream along with baked steak and pressed chicken sandwiches with all the fixings, including pie to go with your ice cream.

The doors open at 5 p.m. and we will serve until 7 p.m. or until the food is gone. You can always get your meal to go, but once you walk in that door and see people that you may not have seen since last year’s Ice Cream Social, you might find that you do have the time to sit and visit with your friends and neighbors.

We are located at 57 Cox Road in Lees Creek – just down the road from East Clinton High School and Middle School. Donations will be accepted and ice cream will be packaged for sale.

Your support allows the Ladies Fellowship to continue to support local causes such as Habitat for Humanity, Clinton County HoHo Shop, Clinton County Homeless Shelter, Sabina Ministerial Association, plus many more.
