CCSO: Drugs found during traffic stops

WILMINGTON — The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court.

The sheriff’s office recently processed the following reports:

• At 1:50 a.m. on July 22, deputies conducted a traffic stop for speeding on U.S. 68 North near Port William Road. According to the report, several narcotics were located — one pill, two unknown white pills, and eight unknown blue pills.

• At 12:40 a.m. on July 26, while performing a traffic stop on a left to the center violation, deputies discovered 24 capsules with powder.

• At 2:16 p.m. on July 25, while arresting a 32-year-old Clarksville male out on a warrant from Clermont County, he allegedly attempted to discard suspected drugs. Deputies recovered a cellophane bag with white powder.

• At 7:30 p.m. on July 22, deputies responded to Clinton Memorial Hospital in reference to a male subject who accidentally shot himself in the foot. A Benelli 12-gauge shotgun was taken as evidence.

• Deputies responded to the 13000 block of U.S. 68 South in reference to a suspicious person at 8:45 a.m. on July 24. According to the report, authorities recovered a light blue 1997 F-350 pickup truck with Ohio plates.

• At 12:27 p.m. on July 25, deputies responded to the 400 block of Beechwood Road in Wilmington in reference to a theft. According to the report, a 1982 Harley Davidson Ironhead was stolen.

• Deputies responded to an alleged assault at the 5300 block of State Route 730 in Wilmington on 9:15 a.m. on July 26. The victim, a 27-year-old male, advised he was assault by a male subject on July 25.

• At 1 p.m. on July 26, deputies responded to the 100 block of North Broadway Street in Midland in reference to a burglary. The report lists a silver iPad, a pink HP laptop, and a pink iPod touch as stolen items.

Sheriff’s deputies recently charged the following people:

• James Lamb, Jr., 31, of Waynesville, was charged with alleged drug paraphernalia and failure to comply.
