WILMINGTON — Downtown Wilmington will be invaded on Friday night by bright shiny Jeeps as part of the Main Street’s Third Friday Mural Party Show and Shine. Like other themed events of the summer, this week’s party features Jeeps from all over Southwest Ohio and beyond.

Local Jeep dealer Wilmington Auto Center-Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is sponsoring this event which supports the work of Main Street Wilmington.

Street closures for the evening include Main Street from Wood to South Street and Mulberry from Locust to Sugartree, in addition to some portions of Spring Street and some alleys. There will be beer, soft drinks and water sold in the Mural Parking Lot along with food for every palate.

In addition to the great downtown restaurant choices, there will be eight food vendors this year. Kona Ice, Pup Pies, Dubtown Smokers, Carlos Roberts Burgers, New Vienna Daughters of the Eastern Star Fried Bologna, Generations Pizza, and Zimmie’s recipe Steak and Gravy Sandwiches by Brenda Roberts will be located along Main Street and in the Mural Lot. So please come hungry and enjoy an evening downtown to the music of Streetwise.

Since it’s all about the Jeeps, put on your walking shoes and be prepared to admire some beautiful machines. With around 350 Jeeps expected, there will be plenty to see.
