Bane-Welker Equipment celebrating 50 years in business Aug. 25

Bane-Welker Equipment, LLC is turning a half a century old this month. To celebrate, the company will host a 50th anniversary celebration event on Friday, Aug. 25 at the Boone County (Indiana) Fairgrounds.

The event will include a blood donation drive, interactive displays, fun children’s activities and a couple of seasoned agriculture experts. Joe Miller, Case IH Regional Sales Director, and Ted McKinney, Indiana Director of Agriculture, will be on hand with a few remarks.

The Aug. 25 event, “A Celebration of Agriculture: Past, Present and Future”, will be held at the Boone County Fairgrounds from 3 to 9 p.m. For specific event details, please visit .

Joe Miller graduated from Purdue University in 2003 with a degree in Agriculture Systems Management. Promptly after graduation, Joe started with Case IH in Racine, Wisconsin. Subsequently, Joe also completed his MS in Agriculture Economics from Purdue University and his MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Joe is currently the Regional Sales Director of the Eastern Case IH commercial region.

With more than 30 years of agriculture leadership experience, Director McKinney brings extensive knowledge and an understanding of Indiana and global agriculture to ISDA. Prior to joining ISDA, he was Director of Global Corporate Affairs for Elanco Animal Health, a subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company. McKinney is a 1991 graduate of the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program and a 1992 graduate of the Stanley K. Lacey Indianapolis Executive Leadership Series. He is a graduate of Purdue University where he received a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics in 1981.
