Along with accepting donations at the high school for Hurricane Harvey victims, the schools are lending a hand in other ways. Wilmington High School Athletic Department recently sent t-shirts to basketball head coach Kelvin Sampson at the University of Houston who will be distributing shirts to those in need after the the hurricane. Shown from left are Katelyn Jamiel and Sydney Wright. Also, Holmes Elementary School is doing a service learning project with its students to support local schools in Texas. They are adopting a school and asking for donations based on what the school needs. The school then will give the supplies out to the students and families.
