The 1967 class of Clinton-Massie gathered at MacD’s Pub on Saturday, Sept. 9 for their 50th high school reunion.
They were the first class to graduate from C-M that went all four years of high school together after the consolidation of Adams, Clarksville, Harveysburg and Kingman schools in 1963.
Classmates came from as far as Oregon, Texas, Arizona, South Carolina and Michigan.
The class of ’67 had 101 graduates. A total of 42 graduates and two teachers attended the two-day event.
They gathered at the 73 Grill on Friday evening. On Saturday morning a group of the classmates went on a tour of their “old” high school (which is now the middle school) and the new high school.
Seventeen graduates are deceased: Linda Sawyer, Bill Ireland, Jim Cornette, Jennifer Conard, David Harner, Willie Wood, John Cook, Roger Hughes, Ron Gasaway, Brenda McComas Fischer, Kay Wallen George, Karen Bauer, Jinny Sue Rose Williams, Wilbur McCarren, Sandy Yazell Tell, Priscilla Gaines Poynter, and Luetta “Peach” Ballard Wilson.
