NV library: Judge book vs. its movie

0

No matter what you call it, the New Vienna Public Library is offering you an opportunity in joining others in rating a book and its movie, by simply exploring both in your leisure time.

Starting Monday, Sept. 18 you can come in and check out adult books by well-known authors such as Wm. Paul Young (The Shack), John Grisham (The Runaway Jury) and even Diane Ackerman (The Zookeeper’s Wife).

Young adults can also join in on the fun with E.B. White (Charlotte’s Web), Ann Brashares’ The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Gayle Forman’s book, If I Stay. All movies are required to be checked out by adults (18 and older).

Last but not least, our younger readers can also find books and movies to pick from, such as: Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat, Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are, and Gruffalo’s Child by Julia Donaldson. Has your child read The Berenstain Bears and the Big Red Kite?

Seen the movie? We have both.

For each book read and movie watched, your name will be entered in a drawing for a family movie package, including two free admission tickets to the Hillsboro Star Cinema.

Stop by and see their wide selection to pick from.
