Post 49 recognized

During the Clinton County Honor Flight campaigns, Wilmington Veterans Post 49 supported the effort by making applications available to all eligible veterans and encouraging them to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Post also furnished their rental hall for the send-off veteran meet and greets prior to the public programs.

For these and other support activities, the Clinton County Honor Flight Committee recently recognized the Post and its members with a special plaque.

Committee members Fred Ertel and Jen Woodland made the presentation to Post Commander Greg Gray during a regular Post meeting.

In remarks, Ertel said, “We want to thank you for your invaluable support and your service to our country.”

Woodland concluded the presentation by saying, “You have my heart, I love you all.”
