EC FFA teams qualify for state

The East Clinton FFA Soil Judging teams recently received their results from Monday’s contest, and the Agricultural Rural Soil Judging team placed first overall at the District 9 contest out of 35 schools.

Gracie McCarren placed first with Tabby Vance second, Ashley Kinner third, Shelby Williams ninth, Grace Cooper 20th and Emma Malone 23rd out of 111 individuals.

The Urban Soil Judging team placed third overall out of 35 schools. Holly Bernard was fifth, Dakota Slone 11th, Quinten Tolle 18th, Carter Carey 21st, Blake Williams 22nd and Trenton Garen 24th.

Both teams qualified to compete at state next weekend.
