District Governor at Rotary

WILMINGTON — District Governor of Rotary Mark Mabelitini recently spoke to the Wilmington Rotary Club which meets at noon. Mabelitini is a member of the Rotary Club of Sidney, Past President of the Rotary Club of Tipp City and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Mabelitini received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from Capital University and a Master of Library Science Degree from Indiana University. He is currently the owner and recreational chef for At Home Bistro. He is also a substitute teacher.

As District Governor, he presented the current year’s banner to President Bob.

Mabelitini outlined his agenda for the 2017-2018 Rotary year. He has a goal of net three new members in each district Rotary club.

Mabelitini stated that North America is losing 70,000 Rotary members per year. He urged the club to plant a tree for every District 6670 Rotary member during the Rotary year.

Also he asked members to link the District Facebook page to all the club pages. He hopes this will provide better communication between clubs about upcoming events. In line with the Rotary International Theme of Peace he wants the Rotary District to become a Peace Builders District.

Member Katherine Harrison Tigar thanked the District Governor for the District’s support of Aid for Infrastructure’s work in Haiti. Tigar presented the Aid for Infrastructure pin to the District Governor.
