WPD reports: Thefts abound of variety of items

WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from incident reports provided by the Wilmington Police Department. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Wilmington police recently processed the following reports:

• At 9:26 a.m. on Sept. 18, a 66-year-old male reported several medications were stolen from his residence on Howard Street — 81 pills of oxycodone, 66 pills of Alprazolam, and 20 syringes used for insulin. The victim stated he believed it was stolen by a 26-year-old male and a 33-year-old female. Police said they had no proof who took the items but the victim stated they were only ones in his house recently. The police asked him to contact them if he discovers anything indicating they were there.

• At 7:24 p.m. on Sept. 24, a 48-year-old male reported someone stolen medicine from his residence at the 400 block of Clark Street. The report lists hydrocodone and Oxycodone as the medicine stolen.

• At 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 18, a Kettering female called the station saying her debit card was allegedly stolen after she gave someone a ride. The victim said it was possibly used at a gas station on South South Street at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 17. The victim described the suspect as an African-American female, “chubby”, 5’ 2”, and between 20 to 30 years old. She was described as wearing pajama bottoms and a torn white shirt.

• Police responded to the 300 block of Columbus Street at 6:33 p.m. on Sept. 18 in response to a theft report. A 32-year-old female resident and a 45-year-old male resident told the police they believe their landlord and his family is trying to get them evicted and believe he has taken some of their possessions. According to the report, he allegedly took a baby monitor, some mail, and a furnace.

• At 7:50 p.m. on Sept. 18, an assault on Sparta Avenue was reported to police. The report indicates that a 34-year-old male was assaulted by a 43-year-old male suspect.

• At 10:26 p.m. on Sept. 18, a 62-year-old female reported that someone stole her porch swing between 5 and 10 p.m. at her residence at the 100 block of South Walnut Street.

• At 1:48 a.m. on Sept. 19, police received a report of a domestic violence involving a 19-year-old male and a juvenile female victim. The incident took place at South Mulberry Street.

• At 9:14 a.m. on Sept. 19, a 45-year-old male reported multiple He-Man action figures and toys were taken from his residence at the 400 block of Dana Avenue. A 30-year-old male was listed as a suspect. According to the report, the toys valued around $250.

• At 3:35 p.m. on Sept. 19, a 30-year-old female reported that sometime overnight someone siphoned around $50 of gas from her husband’s truck which was parked on the street in front of her residence of 1-99 block of Josephine Street. The victim also advised that over the last couple of weeks, some yard decor had been taken, including a bench, a metal flower pot holder, and a large family sized tent.

• At 4:14 p.m. on Sept. 19, a 34-year-old male reported his two bicycles were stolen from his residence at the 1-99 block of West Sugartree Street. According to the report, one bike was a turquoise-colored mountain bike and the other mountain bike was yellow and black. The victim couldn’t advise the model since he bought them from someone else.

• At 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 20, a 25-year-old female reported someone stole her Social Security check from her residence at the 1-99 block of Linton Avenue.

• Police responded to the 200 block of North Spring Street at 9:48 p.m. on Sept. 20 on the report of a man on a bike with a knife. A 37-year-old male was listed a suspect.

• Police responded to a burglary in progress at the 200 block of West Main Street at 4:13 p.m. on Sept. 21. A 43-year-old male is listed as a suspect.

• At 7:04 p.m. on Sept. 21, police received a report of a Giant mountain bike colored red, gray and black, being stolen from a residence at the 800 block of Kathryn Drive.

• Police K9 was used during a traffic stop on West Locust Street at 7:17 p.m. on Sept. 21. According to the report, officers seized marijuana, a glass pipe and a film canister. A 21-year-old male and a 21-year-old female were charged with drug/narcotics violations and two drug equipment violations.

• Police responded to an assault report at the 100 block of A Street at 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 21. The report lists a 57-year-old female as the victim and a 41-year-old male as a suspect.

• Police responded to the 1000 block of Southridge Avenue at 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 21 on a theft report. According to the report, an electric guitar, a pair of Justin boots, and a laptop computer was stolen. A 25-year-old male is listed as a suspect.

• At 2:36 p.m. on Sept. 22, a 42-year-old male reported his circular saw stolen from his garage at his residence at the 200 block of Columbus Street.

• At 3:05 p.m. on Sept. 22, a 74-year-old male reported someone stole 12 adjustable wrenches from the basement of his residence on the 400 block of West Locust Street.

• Police responded to the 200 block of South Wall Street at 8:32 a.m. on Sept. 23 on a theft report. According to the report, the 59-year-old female victim told police her 1968 girls Blue Huffy bike and a 28” blue Mongoose bike were stolen from her backyard.

• At 2:09 p.m. on Sept. 23, a 20-year-old female reported someone stole three textbooks, school supplies, and a black bookbag from her car at her residence at the 400 block of North South Street.

• At 3:35 p.m. on Sept. 23, a 20-year-old female reported sometime overnight someone entered her car at the 1-99 block of Jodie Lane and stole multiple items. The report lists a purse, a checkbook, and $40 in cash as stolen.

• At 5:56 p.m. on Sept. 23, a 58-year-old New Lexington female reported someone stolen the front license plate to her vehicle at the 1800 block of Quaker Way.

• At 8:09 p.m. on Sept. 23, a 27-year-old male reported someone broke into his garage at his residence on North Wood Street and stole his lime green Poulan Chainsaw and his blue and orange 24” mountain bike.

• At 2:04 a.m. on Sept. 24, police responded to the 400 block of Graham Drive on the report of multiple cars being keyed. The report lists six vehicles involved with the incident.

• At 11:36 a.m. on Sept. 24, police responded to the 1-99 block of A Street on the report of a child being by itself. A 47-year-old male and a 22-year-old female are listed as suspects with leaving the child alone.

• At 12:47 p.m. on Sept. 24, police responded to the 400 block of Nunn Avenue on a car being egged.

• At 6:35 p.m. on Sept. 24, police received a report of a burglary at the 300 block of North Walnut Street from a 65-year-old male. The report lists a Coleman 6-8 person tent, a green four-person tent, a green two-person tent, a 10×20 white canvas canopy, and a small white refrigerator as stolen.

Wilmington police recently charged the following people:

• James Welch, Jr., 46, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged dangerous drug possession.

• Jeffrey Johns, Jr., 30, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged domestic violence.

• Daniel Smith, 21, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft.

• Darrell Tucker, 43, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged assault.

• Heather Sheets, 33, of Sabina, was charged with alleged drug instrument possession.

• Larry Williams, Sr., 40, of Jeffersonville, was charged with alleged theft.

• Ronnie McIntosh, 37, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged failure to control, driving while under the influence, occupant restraining device, and reckless operation.

• Gabrielle Drake, 19, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft.

• Haley Baker, 22, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged illegal use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Christopher Miller, 30, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft and illegal use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Tarah Whaley, 28, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged drug abuse instrument possession.

• K. Brett Eltzroth, 49, of Wilmington, was charged with allegedly driving while under the influence.

• Amber Casada, 34, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged persisting disorderly conduct.

• Matthew Fulton, 32, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft.

• Amber Ross, 34, of Wilmington, was charged with allegedly interfering with custody.

• Kelly George, 27, of Blanchester, was charged with alleged theft.
