Clinton County Municipal Court verdicts rendered

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following continues the list of those who pled guilty or were found guilty between Oct. 10 and 13:

• Laura Lewis, 28, of Wilmington, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail, operator’s license suspended from May 13, 2017, to May 13, 2018, fined $1,075, assessed $125 court costs. Lewis was ordered not to consume alcohol and abuse drugs. If compliant, the court will suspend $375 of fine and ALS vacated. An additional O.V.I. charge, a driving under suspension-financial charge, and a no brake lights violation were dismissed.

• Brian Doughman, 39, of Martinsville, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs. An additional driving under suspension charge was dismissed.

• Tana Hayslip, 28, of Sabina, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs. A driving under suspension-failing to reinstate charge was dismissed.

• Richard Mccall, 46, of Wilmington, assault, criminal mischief sentenced to 20 days in jail (suspended), fined $275, assessed $250 court costs. Mccall must have no contact with the victim. The criminal mischief charge was amended from a using a weapon while intoxicated charge. Mccall must write a letter of apology to the victim, commit no offenses for one year, and be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Joseph Hockett, 19, of Blanchester, theft, marijuana drug paraphernalia, sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $200, assessed $250 court costs. Hockett must write a letter of apology to the victim. Jail time stayed to allow the defendant to complete diversion. A drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed.

• Andrea Scott, 27, of Wilmington, theft, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 30 days in jail (27 days suspended), fined $250, assessed $250 court costs. Scott must pay $60 in restitution, must have no contact with the victim and write a letter of apology to them. The disorderly conduct charge was amended from a domestic violence charge.

• Kyland Jones, 21, of Martinsville, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $150, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a domestic violence charge. Jones must commit no offenses for one year and be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Joshua Jacobs, 31, of Wilmington, theft, sentenced to one day in jail, fined $150, assessed $125 court costs. Jacobs must write a letter of apology to the victim and have no contact with them.

• Amber Casada, 34, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Amber Smith, 40, of Blanchester, drug possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Aaron Martin, 36, of Blanchester, driving under suspension-financial, fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. An additional driving under suspension-failing to reinstate charge was dismissed.

• Chad Little, 40, of Trenton, theft, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $150, assessed $125 court costs. Little must write a letter of apology to the victim and no more contact with them. Little shall not commit any more offenses in Clinton County for a year and pay restitution of $35.89 to the victim.

• Ashley Robinson, 25, of Goshen, drug paraphernalia, sentenced to ten days in jail (suspended), fined $150, assessed $125 court costs. Robinson shall commit no offenses for a period of one year.

• Mona Friend, 45, of Wilmington, theft, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Friend must take part in supervised probation, have contact with the victim, write a letter of apology to the victim, complete eight hours of community service and appear in court on a later date.

• George Carter, 30, of Bainbridge, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs.

• Brent Rinehart, 40, of Hillsboro, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs.

• Rachel Piening, 29, of Cincinnati, going 92 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Kenneth Rummel, 37, of Fayetteville, domestic violence, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. Rummel must have no contact with the victim, must commit no offenses for one year and be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Hayden Valentine, 18, of Hillsboro, disorderly conduct, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs The charge was amended from a marijuana possession charge. An additional drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed.

• Kristen Hayslip, 25, of Washington Court House, theft, sentenced to one day in jail, fined $150, assessed $125 court costs. Jacobs must write a letter of apology to the victim and have no contact with them.

• James Shepherd, 41, of Hillsboro, physical control of a vehicle while under the influence, sentenced to three days in jail, operator’s license suspended from Oct. 11, 2017, to Oct. 11, 2018, fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. ALS vacated. A parking/public highway violation charge was dismissed.

• Tiffany Lawson, 27, of Greenfield, theft, assessed $125 court costs. Lawson must write a letter of apology to the victim.

• Isaiah Simuel, 21, of Columbus, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail (177 suspended), operator’s license suspended Aug. 27, 2017, to Aug. 27, 2018, fined $1,075, assessed $125 court costs. Simuel must have no more Clinton County violations for two years.

• Donald Hutchinson, 40, of Blanchester, criminal damages, trespassing, no operator’s license, sentenced to 120 days in jail (100 days suspended), fined $375, assessed $250 court costs. Hutchinson must pay the sum of $900 in restitution to the victim and have no contact with them and commit no offenses in Clinton County for one year. The no operator’s license was amended from a driving under suspension charge. A marijuana possession charge and two trespassing charges were dismissed.

• Michelle Doyle, 34, of New Vienna, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, theft, complicity, sentenced to 20 days in jail (suspended), fined $200, assessed $125 court costs. The contraband was ordered destroyed. Doyle must have no contact with the victim, pay $50.07 in restitution and commit no offenses for one year.

• Robert Coil, 21, of Washington Court House, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. Coil must be in full compliance with terms of supervision in Highland County, must have no contact with the victim, and take part in two years of non-reporting probation.

• Michael York, 29, of Hillsboro, theft, trespassing, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $200, assessed $125 court costs. York must take part in non-reporting probation for two years, complete eight hours of community service through probation department and write a letter of apology to the victim.

• Cory Slaven, 21, of Xenia, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Thomas Benson, 55, of Goshen, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), operator’s license suspended from July 5, 2017, to July 5, 2018, fined $1,075, assessed $125 court costs. Henson must take part in supervised probation, complete assessment, and complete a three-day residential driver intervention program. If compliant, the court will suspend $375 of fine and ALS will be vacated.
